 NYC Children's Magician Magic Evan Motivates Kids to ReadNYC Magician Magic Evan motivates children to read by performing his funny, interactive and educational magic show at schools and libraries across NYC.
Presenting himself as a positive role-model, Evan will share his love for reading and teach important lessons throughout the show. After the magic show, Evan will facilitate a magic workshop during which he’ll reveal some secrets and explain what books children can read to learn more about magic. The magic show begins at 2:00 PM and is geared towards children ages 5 and up. The entire program will run for approximately 1 hour. Admission is FREE. Paquette has earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Theater from New York University. In addition to performing over 200 magic shows a year at private parties, Evan uses magic as a tool for teaching literacy and leadership skills in NYC Public Schools. "This show is generating a lot of excitement about reading," says Paquette. "When it's consistently standing room only and all of the magic books are checked out at the end of the show, you know you're doing something worthwhile."
