The Long Branch Jazz and Blues Festival's headliner is Rob Paparozzi and The Hudson River Rats. New Jersey-based front man, singer and harmonica player Rob Paparozzi has been a blues performer since 1967. But Rob is far from being strictly a blues musician. In fact, he's at home playing a wide range of music, ranging from rock to blues to jazz to pop. This versatility is reflected in the long and remarkably diverse list of major artists Rob has worked with, including B.B.King, Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston, Carole King, Cyndi Lauper, and Jimmy McGriff to name a few. Rob’s own band, The Hudson River Rats plays across the U.S. and Europe and features Ed Alstrom, John Korba, Chris Eminizer, Bernard Purdie, George Naha and Bailey Gee.

"The volunteer board of the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation has been honored to present jazz and blues fans of all ages with our award-winning Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Festivals for 20 years. The events are widely-anticipated by thousands of residents and visitors to the Jersey Shore," said Dennis Eschbach, Event Director, Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Festivals. "Thanks to the dedication of our sponsors, musicians and host towns, we anticipate this year's festival in Long Branch to be bigger and better than ever! "
Each year, sponsor donations from the events raise essential funds for the nonprofit Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation’s operational expenses. The Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation (JSJBF) is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation whose mission is to preserve, promote and perpetuate jazz and blues in the northern New Jersey shore region through performance and education.
