Kenney is the executive chef and owner of two Hawaii restaurants, Town and Downtown, and also runs a catering business named Uptown. He is well known among the Hawaii community for advocating the use of local ingredients and is guided by his own personal mantra of “local first, organic whenever possible, with aloha always.” Ed Kenney sits on the Board of Directors for MA’O Organic Farms, Kokua Hawaii Foundation & Sustain Hawaii. He is also on the Advisory Board for Hogan Entrepreneurs, the Culinary Institute of the Pacific at Kapi’olani Community College, and the Culinary Program at Leeward Community College.
