Moore’s presentation will be advanced-level on the behavior-based safety track, Wednesday, Aug. 22 from 1:15pm to 2:15pm. It will address some of the urban myths and legends commonly heard in the electrical profession that plague safety managers as they endeavor to protect their electrical workers.
“The thing about urban legends is that often times they circulate enough for people to think they are true,” said Moore. “And when you are basing key workplace decisions on myths rather than facts, especially within the electrical safety arena, the consequences can hurt or even kill you. My presentation should shed some light on many of these urban myths and legends.”
