Mooyah Delivers Superior Burgers To McAllen, Texas

Aug. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- (Dallas, TX) August 9, 2012 – McAllen fans of MOOYAH’s better burgers, fries and shakes will soon have something great to sink their teeth into without traveling far. The newest MOOYAH on 3721 West Pecan Blvd. is opening its doors at the end of August.

The restaurant, owned by franchisee Johnny Collins, is McAllen’s newest burger hotspot and the Frisco-based burger brand’s first drive-through location. It’s part of a brand new building and features MOOYAH’s latest designs including a massive kid friendly chalkboard, framed photos of the cows who make the restaurant’s shakes the creamiest around, and drop pendant lighting that shows off an exposed ceiling and bright green air ducts. Booths and moveable community tables are configured to accommodate diners in parties of one or twenty-one.

The brand’s recent redesign reflects MOOYAH’s continuing commitment to fun, community, comfort and goodness. The format gives hungry diners a peek into the magic with bar stools and counter seating and a large display window into the kitchen where mouthwatering fries undergo a 24-hour preparation process that’s done by hand and requires constant attention.
Eager guests will get a chance to enjoy a sneak peek of the new restaurant design when the McAllen MOOYAH celebrates its soft opening for two days the weekend before the grand opening.

The McAllen MOOYAH is going to be next door to a Wingstop, also franchised by Collins. As a franchisee, Collins is a burger expert, but he has also earned his restaurant wings. He won Wingstop’s franchisee of the year award in 2011and has successfully developed two other MOOYAH restaurants.

“I’m excited to create this new building from the ground up, brick by brick. The MOOYAH will have a new, clean feel inviting the community to come as they are, relax, and enjoy the world’s best burger, fries, and shake,” said Collins.

The brand’s better burgers, fries, and shakes are both simple and delectable with literally one million ways guests can enjoy their burger. Made to order grilled patties come in 100% fresh (never frozen) American beef, Jennie-O turkey, or black bean veggie along with a choice of nine special sauces and unlimited vegetables. Burgers are sandwiched between white buns, whole wheat buns, or an Iceburger, which is a patty cradled in hand leafed lettuce.

Collins’s favorite is the “JC Special,” a beef patty topped with mushrooms, tomato, ketchup, mustard, barbecue sauce, onion, jalapenos, and pepper jack cheese served between a white bun.

“I walk into MOOYAH and order the JC Special, and they know exactly what to make. Our regular guests have their own specials, too, because we really take the time to get to know our guests and make every single person feel welcome. My wife and I are very much about the community and we put God first in everything we do,” said Collins.

Collins actively contributes food, donations, and gift cards to local churches and the Lions Club. In honor of the Lions Club’s annual dancing fundraiser event, Collins always donates mini burgers. The new restaurants will also give the local economy a boost; 40 new jobs are available at the new MOOYAH restaurant alone.

“We’re eager to introduce MOOYAH to McAllen and get to know a whole new community. Although since many McAllen residents have been driving to our other restaurants to get their burger fix, we’re already halfway there,” said Collins.
