Iraq Telecoms 2012 Agenda to Focus on Investment Opportunities in the Iraqi Telecommunication Sector

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 14, 2012 - The 2012 agenda for the 7th annual Iraq Telecoms Conference will focus on fostering the investment opportunities available in the industry for building a reliable telecommunication infrastructure in Iraq. This is a result of the increase in consumer demand for a more efficient telecommunications system and advancement of new breakthrough technologies, Iraq is seeking to develop all aspects of the telecommunication sector over the next few years.

The conference agenda will be an essential catalyst in assessing the progress achieved so far in the implementation of the ambitious action plans for Iraq’s telecommunication industry. Key topics also include: broadband services, wireless technologies and the internet, industry partnerships, regional collaboration and driving competition. In addition to this, a ministerial keynote address from the Iraqi Minister of Communications, H.E. Mohammed T Allawi will address the topic of connecting Iraq with the world to support its rapid economic growth.

Commenting on the 2012 agenda, H.E. Mohammed T Allawi, stated that “the Conference will emphasise the growth opportunities in communication, information, technology and the massive reconstruction opportunities. This year’s Conference will be critical for the rebuilding of Iraq’s communications”.
