The Preiss Company Announces Appointment of Steven Lewis to Southeast Regional Manager

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 14, 2012 - RALEIGH, NC – The Preiss Company is proud to announce the recent appointment of Steven Lewis to Southeast Regional Manager.  In his role, Lewis will oversee the overall operations of six off-campus student housing properties plus one new development, create and implement all site budgets, evaluate daily marketing efforts, and adjust leasing rates based on market fluctuations or leasing velocity.

Lewis has over 12 years of student housing experience, spanning 20 markets in 10 states.  Prior to joining The Preiss Company, he was a Regional Manager with American Campus Communities, the nation's largest developer, owner, and manager of high-quality student housing communities.  In his position, Lewis managed eight properties and 70 employees.  He helped develop and implement budgets and marketing plans for all sites and worked with site staff to ensure that the properties’ fiscal needs were met and positive NOI growth was achieved while pushing rate growth.

Lewis received his Business Degree from North Carolina State University with a minor in Marketing and Graphic Communications.  As Southeast Regional Manager, he will manage the operations of the company’s properties in Auburn, AL (The Cambridge at Auburn, University Village at Auburn, and University Heights at Auburn), Statesboro, GA (University Village at Southern), Myrtle Beach, SC (University Village at the Coast), and Rock Hill, SC (University Place).  Lewis said that he is looking forward to being involved in a smaller, more “family-oriented” company that will allow him to be more involved with aspects of student housing development that was not afforded to him in his previous positions.
