St. Paul A.M.E.C. produces several major events each year, including the Voices of the Healing Spirit Concert, Berkeley Gospel Jazz Hip Hop 5th Sundays, the Women’s International Conference and Homecoming, The Women of St. Paul’s Annual Crabfeed, and takes the lead in the production of the annual Berkeley Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration. The public is invited and encouraged to experience these rich cultural presentations.

St. Paul A.M.E.C was founded in 1933 by Rev. E.M. Elliott as the Berkeley Mission. In 1937 the church incorporated and changed its name to St. Paul A.M.E.C. Today the Church is over 500 members strong. Under the Episcopal Leadership of Bishop T. Larry Kirkland, Presiding Prelate, Fifth Episcopal District, St. Paul A.M.E. Church enjoys the unique position of being the only African Methodist Episcopal Church in Berkeley, California. St. Paul has been served by a distinguished list of ministers including: Rev. AA Moore.
