The China product, underwritten by Minan is based on Now Health’s current range of WorldCare plans with four different levels of cover: Essential, Advance, Excel and Apex. The plan, which is available in both Simplified Chinese and English, has also been boosted with additional options applicable to the local market. There is, for example, a Greater China option which limits in, day and out-patient cover to the maximum benefits limits within the Greater China region and cover outwith China to emergency non-elective treatment for a 5% discount. And for those who want the option of being treated in one of the handful of high-cost hospitals in the region, a 20% co-insurance option is available to bring down the premium.
As in other parts of the world, China-based customers will have access to Now Health’s range of market-leading online tools to administer plans and access materials. Now Health’s Managing Director in China, PY So said: “We’ve put an immense amount of work getting our proposition right since signing the agreement with Minan.
