Gynecomastia surgery to be featured on TLC program on August 19th at 10pm.

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 13, 2012 - Gynecomastia is a condition which has been receiving increasing attention from both the media and the plastic surgery community in recent years. Gynecomastia is a condition in which males develop enlarged breast glands, giving them the appearance of “woman-like” breasts. Men with the condition often report feeling anxious about how others perceive their body and worry that others will see them as more feminine. The TLC documentary will follow one 22 year old patient from New York City, who received male breast reduction surgery, from one of the most experienced gynecomastia surgeons, Dr. Mordcai Blau of White Plains, NY who performs close to 300 gynecomastia-related surgeries each year.
   Viewers will join one patient as he goes on his journey from a man plagued with doubts about his masculinity to someone who can really embrace his body and no longer feel ashamed in social situations, or taking his shirt off at the beach.
