During the 2012/2013 ski season, Vail will host a myriad of special events and activities to commemorate this grand milestone. From a US Ski Team ceremony on Nov. 15 and a public birthday bash with fireworks and concerts on Dec. 15 to special 50th anniversary Snow Daze celebrations on Dec. 10-16 and National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame induction ceremonies in spring 2013, Vail will provide visitors endless opportunities to be part of the celebration. In addition to the festivities, Vail will also showcase its highly-anticipated, new gondola, a 10-passenger cabin with heated, cushioned seats and Wi-Fi access for guests. With a speed of 1,200 feet per minute, the gondola will be the fastest gondola of its type in the world.

Cascade Ski-in/Ski-out Touch
Vail Cascade Resort is Vail’s only AAA Four Diamond ski-in/ski-out mountain resort offering guests convenient lift access mere steps from the hotel. Boasting the shortest lift lines in Vail, guests can ride the Cascade Village Lift #20 to the Pride Express Lift and take that to the top of Vail Mountain in approximately 10-15 minutes.
Cascade Christmas
Vail Cascade will host its 15th Annual Cascade Christmas celebration, an 11day on-site holiday guest program that features an assortment of scheduled activities, including gingerbread making sessions, magic shows and ornament decorating. Additionally, this year Vail Cascade Resort welcomes the return of Santa’s reindeers to the hotel giving children the opportunity to touch and ride Santa’s famous sleigh pullers. Each Friday and Saturday night, guests can enjoy complimentary treats fireside while they take in views of Gore Creek and Vail Mountain.
