Aug. 13, 2012 - On August 26th Seattle Teen Music is hosting a free day of live music from noon to six pm at Seattle's Volunteer Park amphitheater on Capitol Hill. The event is to celebrate the successful completion of three years of connecting Seattle area young musicians with opportunities to play and to highlight some of the talented bands that have played with us. Some of the accomplishments of Seattle Teen Music artists include: 2011 Rolling Stone Magazine Artist of the Year Finalist (street performance)
, EMP Sound Off Finalists, successful US tours and radio airplay across the country.
Nine bands will take the stage on the 26th including: The School of Rock, Truth Under Attack, Right Your Wrongs, Sophia Duccini, Special Explosion, Destination Unknown and The Hebephrenics.
Over the past three years Seattle Teen Music has helped over 450 teen musicians get heard by connecting them with a stage, an audience or getting them recorded.
