Domestic violence and sexual assault impact more than just life at home – the effects are often felt in the workplace, both directly and indirectly. Ms. Parish will review the employment rights for victims of domestic violence and safety practices for the entire workplace.
Julia Parish is an Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Legal Fellow with the Work and Family and SURVIVE Projects. She assists with the project helplines and provides legal advice, know-your-rights workshops, and direct legal services for workers struggling with family and medical crises and to survivors of violence. Julia received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2011 as well as her B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from the University of California, Berkeley.
