Author’s Inspirational Book Becomes Best Seller

Aug. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Although J.F. (Jim) Straw’s business activities have generated over $500 million in revenue over the past fifty years, one of his proudest moments occurred just recently. The book he wrote, Mustard Seeds, Shovels, & Mountains, reached the coveted status of best seller on Amazon.com, the world’s largest online bookstore.
“It’s not only a validation of my ideas and efforts,” said the Georgia-based business man cum author, “it’s my hope that my little book will inspire more young entrepreneurs and people who wish to reach the ‘American Dream.’”
The book Mustard Seeds, Shovels, & Mountains: How to Succeed Using Your Physio-Psychic Power, details the thinking processes that allowed Mr. Straw to create, as the he states,  “fortune after fortune” in diverse field such as mining, banking, wholesaling, publishing, and various other endeavors. The title was derived from the Bible verse “Faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain.” As the author writes, though, while faith is important, you’ll also need a shovel, which means that you’ll have to take action and do the work.
“Far too many people think that success is a matter of luck or making wishes. But even if a person wanted to just win the lottery, all the wishing and praying in the world wouldn’t help them if they didn’t buy a ticket!”
At only 100 pages and priced at $9.95, Mr. Straw wrote the book so that it could be easily read and re-read and be affordable to as many people as possible. “In these tough times that might even get tougher, I want to reach as many people as possible and show them how from wherever they are now and in whatever kind of economy, they have opportunities all around them. Heck, if a country boy like me can make it, you better believe that anyone can!”
On August 1, Mustard Seeds, Shovels, & Mountains reached a lot of people. It became a best seller on Amazon.com reaching the number one position in the “Self-help” category, beating out venerable classics such as The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and Napoleon Hill’s Think & Grow Rich. The book continues to retain its high ranking through word-of-mouth referrals, stellar reviews, and the author’s “mountain-moving” efforts.
With this goal achieved, the author has one more goal in his sights. “I submitted my book for the Pulitzer Prize. Let’s see if I can move that mountain!”
