Joining the staff at Carson Long Military Academy are:
• Stephen E. Marcum, Marketing Director. The Marshall University graduate will direct Carson Long’s marketing strategies as well as develop and implement Internet, social media and marketing programs. The Williamson, W.Va., native has worked as a media strategist in a range of industries, including tourism, coal, chemical, industrial equipment, medical, financial, transportation, gaming and real estate in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
• Jairee Counterman, Director of Development. The Harrisburg native brings more than 25 years of experience in education, nonprofit management and resource development to Carson Long. Counterman most recently served as Director of Development, Principal and Executive Director at the Nativity School of Harrisburg, an all-boys private middle school for at-risk inner-city youth.
• Tim Bassett, Business Manager. The Perry County native will oversee the accounting and other financial responsibilities as well as day-to-day operations at Carson Long. The graduate of West Chester University has 10 years of management experience in the oil recycling business and was president of geotechnical firm for nine years.
Carson Long Military Academy is the oldest boarding school in the United States that still provides military leadership training for boys in grades 6 to 12.
