With this year’s theme “Caribbean History, Culture & Unity”, led by WIADCA’s President Thomas Bailey, the West Indian American Day Carnival Association 2012 Carnival Festival will honor and recognize the historic occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago. The kick off reception will include a festive evening of entertainment, refreshments and community.
West Indian American Day Labor Day Carnival 2012
With an impressive line-up of artists and activities for the four days and nights at the Brooklyn Museum Grounds, the celebration culminates with the gigantic Labor Day Carnival Parade when over 40 Masquerade Bands and some 3 million jubilant spectators and supporters from around the world converge on Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn from Schenectady Ave to Grand Army Plaza.
