Motorcycle-Maps is happy to announce this new event as a successor to its popular paper map program. The map program started in April 2010 and has seen approximately 40,000 North Carolina paper maps put into the hands of motorcycle riders around the country.
The Passport program is meant to give bikers the thrill of riding new routes across the state, while checking out new biker friendly businesses and to discover all that North Carolina has to offer from the outer banks to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Motorcycle-Maps’
Riders will be able to purchase a Passport package at any participating business, on-line through the website plus other venues around the state. The package will include a coupon booklet, special event vest patch, 2013 North Carolina map, pen along with possible other items. As they transit the state riders will stop into Passport businesses to take advantage of offered discounts as well as to get their booklet stamped by the business. Businesses will be spread across the state. At the end of the ride season each biker will mail their stamped coupons into Motorcycle-Maps. Based on the percentage of completed businesses riders will qualify for a given level of prize consideration.
Participating businesses will receive a page in each printed coupon booklet. The total number of participating businesses will be limited as to keep travel time reasonable for riders during the months long event. Businesses will also benefit from placement on the 2013 Motorcycle-Maps North Carolina map which is distributed through approximately 90 locations across North Carolina to include all state Welcome Centers and numerous instate visitor centers.
Motorcycle-Maps iPhone and Droid apps will be available to riders to help locate businesses during their travels. In addition to the apps, Motorcycle-Maps has partnered with ‘Let’s Ride Clyde” to provide various overlays for GPS users.
Motorcycle organizations in the state will be able to sell Motorcycle-Maps 2013 Passport to North Carolina packages for fundraisers. For more information please contact Dennis Munden at dmunden@motorcycle-
