Aug. 11, 2012 - "Nigeria The Land The People" documents the history, traditions and culture of Nigeria West Africa from the colonial period to modern times. The film features exclusive interviews with prominent government officials including former first lady Mariam Abacha and various traditional rulers. This documentary film features extensive information about Nigeria that has been written, directed and documented by Nigerians. Nigeria has become infamously known for many things including civil/tribal wars, crime and scams. It is time for Nigerians to begin reporting the history of the country objectively and from a Nigerian point of view. The film approaches the information from this objective view with commentary by Dolly Esindu former broadcast personality of Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Port-Harcourt.
Nigeria The Land The People is a Frontline Television production by Mike and Dolly Esindu, pioneers in the documentary industry in Nigeria for over 23 years. During this time period they have been commissioned to produce numerous documentaries on behalf of organizations such as the Federal Government of Nigeria, Elf Petroleum Limited, Shell Petroleum Development Company, Nigeria National Petroleum Company, Abuja Sheraton Hotel & Towers and many other government agencies.
