Internet Cyber Crime Investigation: Your Credit Card is Listed for Sale … Online!
Carding Forums and Dump/cvv stores are making it easy to buy you private information online
Special Report from InternetCyberCrime.com

Yes, you are not loosing it. These days, Cyber Criminals ( Carders) are making underground purchases, like buying the magnet stripe of your credit card, as easy as buying an app for your iPhone. I would say, maybe even easier, because they don’t ask any question or not making you agree to terms and policies every time you log in .
It makes me laugh, when I hear banks or anyone else, giving out “tips” on how to protect your identity: ” Make sure you shred your bills!” or “make sure you cover a PIN-pad while punching in your Debit card’s PIN number in a grocery store” . Believe me or not, but the last thing cyber criminals do these days to steal money from you is go through your trash or look over your shoulder. There is a huge chance that your Credit Card “Dump” or “Track2″ (carding slang for magnet stripe code of credit or debit cards)  is listed for sale in of the many online stores that offer you to buy dumps from around the world in a matter of seconds for $10-20 a piece. Don’t believe me just yet? Check it out:

This was just an example of a real and currently working underground carding shop which is advertised on one of the carding forums with the  public access. Carder describes his service and lists refund and payment policies. Cyber Criminals are currently prefer using Liberty Reserve (www.libertyreserve.com) to process payments online. Liberty Reserve or how carders call it “LR” is a p2p (person-to-person) instant money transfer system. This is a quote from their website “Oldest, safest and most popular payment processor operating in Costa Rica and serving millions all around a world. Store your funds privately in gold, Euro” . It might be the oldest, but I am not so sure about the sefest part. Maybe they are talking about being safest for carders?

Cyber Criminals offer stolen dumps from around the world, accept automatic payments, and communicate between each other and clients using ICQ (icq.com) or Jabber servers to hide their identity. It is ironic, that AOL (aol.com) sold the chat service to Digital Sky Technologies (DST), Russia’s largest Internet company, for US$187.5 million; however,  AOL bought ICQ  in 1998 for $407 million. Why they sold it? I would assume because no one else uses ICQ as much as Russian carders!
Enough humor, we are not done with buying dumps. Don’t worry – it will not take long…

Let’s take a look at one of the online cyber shops which offers a huge variety of stolen credit card dumps for sale:

This is a search result from a real online dump store. Cyber criminals can sort the entire data base and search credit card dumps by type (Visa/MC/AMEX) , bank(BIN), country, chip protected or without, and they even list the price for you! In this window, you can see under BIN table a list of 6 digit #s starting with 3*****. They list the first 6 numbers that identify dump’s type and bank. For example, in  just this screen shot, there are about 56 stolen American Express credit card account that anyone can instantly purchase without worrying about a bad credit score for just $20 a piece. I am not talking about just a credit card number and an expiration date , with this track2 code it takes a few seconds to copy  someone else’s credit account and go shopping to near by mall.

Did I say “about 56″ stolen accounts?
Yes, I was talking about 56 stolen account that could fit in my computer screen. This specific data base just got updated with 25 thousand “freshly” (July 22)  stolen credit card accounts.

Carders also have offer discounts and wholesale lots. In the last screen shot, you can buy 100 Stolen VISA Gold Premium accounts from Caisse Nationale Des Caisses . This is a French Bank with 4,700 offices in France and French territories for only $800. European credit cards are priced higher than American/Canadian account, because they usually have better spending limits  which mean more money for a cyber criminal. American dumps usually go for $10-20 on carding forums and these kind of services. After US Economy went south (oh, I wonder why) , carding community was blaming bad economy for low spending limits on the credit accounts.

So, I can see somewhere in France , an associate from  Caisse Nationale Bank “advising” customers to shred their utility bills before throwing them out and hiding PIN PADs. I think we way passed that point of security.  Caisse Nationale Bank “advising” customers to shred their utility bills before throwing them out and hiding PIN PADs.
