Yes, you are not loosing it. These days, Cyber Criminals ( Carders) are making underground purchases, like buying the magnet stripe of your credit card, as easy as buying an app for your iPhone. I would say, maybe even easier, because they don’t ask any question or not making you agree to terms and policies every time you log in .
It makes me laugh, when I hear banks or anyone else, giving out “tips” on how to protect your identity: ” Make sure you shred your bills!” or “make sure you cover a PIN-pad while punching in your Debit card’s PIN number in a grocery store” . Believe me or not, but the last thing cyber criminals do these days to steal money from you is go through your trash or look over your shoulder. There is a huge chance that your Credit Card “Dump” or “Track2″ (carding slang for magnet stripe code of credit or debit cards) is listed for sale in of the many online stores that offer you to buy dumps from around the world in a matter of seconds for $10-20 a piece. This was just an example of a real and currently working underground carding shop which is advertised on one of the carding forums with the public access. Carder describes his service and lists refund and payment policies. Cyber Criminals are currently prefer using Liberty Reserve (www.libertyreserve.com)

Cyber Criminals offer stolen dumps from around the world, accept automatic payments, and communicate between each other and clients using ICQ (icq.com) or Jabber servers to hide their identity. It is ironic, that AOL (aol.com) sold the chat service to Digital Sky Technologies (DST), Russia’s largest Internet company, for US$187.5 million; however, AOL bought ICQ in 1998 for $407 million. Why they sold it? I would assume because no one else uses ICQ as much as Russian carders!

Carders also have offer discounts and wholesale lots. In the last screen shot, you can buy 100 Stolen VISA Gold Premium accounts from Caisse Nationale Des Caisses . This is a French Bank with 4,700 offices in France and French territories for only $800. European credit cards are priced higher than American/Canadian account, because they usually have better spending limits which mean more money for a cyber criminal. American dumps usually go for $10-20 on carding forums and these kind of services. After US Economy went south (oh, I wonder why) , carding community was blaming bad economy for low spending limits on the credit accounts.
