Extrel To Attend North American Thermal Analysis Conference

Aug. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- PITTSBURGH, PA – Extrel CMS, a world leader in developing mass spectrometry systems and research components, will be attending the 40th annual North American Thermal Analysis Conference August 12-15 in Orlando, Fla. at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel and Spa (Booth # 6).

The Extrel booth will feature the MAX300-LG, a benchtop gas analyzer based on Extrel’s leading quadrupole mass spectrometry technology. Highlighted will be the MAX300’s application as an evolved gas analyzer (EGA) capable of providing real-time composition data for the off gas of Thermogravimetric analyzers (TGA), microreactors and reaction headspace.

The MAX300-LG will be on display coupled to the TG 209 F1 Libra, a TGA manufactured by Netzsch.

Scott Fleishner, vice president of sales and marketing, Brian Regel, research sales manager for North America and Charles De Carlo, industrial product manager will be representing Extrel at the show. Fleishner says the combination of these technologies is applicable in many industries.

“The coupling of these technologies,TGA/MS, can provide rapid chemical identification and quantitation during the thermal decomposition of the sample,” says Fleishner. “This is useful for those working with pharmaceuticals, elastomers and thermoplastics, as well as researchers in materials science, organic chemistry and R&D.”
