Vancouver Couple Turns Hobby Into Full Time Thriving Business Garnering The Attention Of Google

Aug. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Vancouver, BC company Punch Brand, best known for their crazyheads® line of animal inspired character clothing with ears, scooped the design and production of the official Android hats and hoodies for Google.

The idea for the crazyheads brand developed years ago when designer Glynis Tao attended her first comic convention with her husband Jason. She was inspired by the creative and elaborate costumes the fans wore at the shows. She set out to figure out a way to contribute to this very distinct and colorful world. “I bought a meter of fleece and experimented with sewing a few kitty and bunny hats. I sold out of them at the next show!” A short time later, crazyheads was born.

A lot has happened since Glynis sewed her first crazyheads hat in 2005. She brought her husband on board, relocated back to Vancouver in 2010, and travelled the world, exhibiting at over 100 conventions across Canada, US and Europe.

“Last fall, from out of the blue, we got a call from the Google Android marketing team,” says Glynis. “They wanted custom made Android hats and hoodies. They placed a huge order that needed to be delivered the following month. “Our goal is to be recognized as the most sought after innovator in trendy character based clothing. We would love to develop more custom orders & private label merchandise for corporate clients.” says Glynis.
