Follow on Google News | Colorado Access Expands its Executive Team as it Prepares for GrowthDenver, CO - Colorado Access, a nonprofit health plan, welcomes four executives to its team. They will lead telemedicine, information technology, Medicare operations, and legal services units.
By: Colorado Access Alex Vo will lead the company’s telehealth, telemedicine and health information technology efforts. Prior to joining Colorado Access, Dr. Vo was the Executive Director of the Center for Telehealth Research and Policy at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). A national expert in telemedicine, Dr. Vo serves on the Executive Leadership Committee and the Institutional Council of the American Telemedicine Association. He has consulted to many organizations regarding program evaluation, telemedicine and policy, has co-authored book chapters and scientific manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, and has presented at numerous international and national meetings. Bobby Sherrill leads the corporate information technology initiatives at Colorado Access. He has worked in IT, healthcare and healthcare software for over 25 years. Most recently, Mr. Sherrill served as an AVP Solution Executive at The TriZetto Group, based in Denver. His in-depth knowledge of healthcare transaction systems, including TriZetto’s QNXT transaction system, will assist Colorado Access greatly as it implements QNXT in the months and years ahead. Bill Horner leads Access Advantage, the company’s Medicare line of business, as the Executive Director. Mr. Horner has served in the healthcare industry for 30 years. He joined Colorado Access from Rochester General Hospital, where he was the Chief Operating Officer (COO). Prior to that, he worked at Banner Health for 25 years, where he was the Associate Administrator and Regional Director of Managed Care. Mr. Horner is committed to strengthening the professionalism and business discipline of Access Advantage as the base for continuous improvements and growth. Ann Edelman provides a full range of legal counsel and service to Colorado Access. She has operated her own law practice for 19 years, with a concentration in the healthcare industry. She has worked with the Colorado Hospital Association and with other local health care organizations on business, compliance and regulatory issues. “I am pleased to add such talented and charismatic people to the Colorado Access executive team,” said Dr. Marshall Thomas, CEO and President. “We were looking for candidates with excellent leadership skills, business skills, passion, and relevant work experience.
