Beginning August 25th, TBell Actors Studio will hold weekend classes for young aspiring actors. Students will be grouped by age range for optimum peer interaction and age-appropriate instruction. The Goonies class accommodates children ages 6 through 10, while the T-Birds class is intended for children ages 11 through 16. Classes will be led by veteran TBell Advanced Actor Amber Sutphin, whose resume includes a number of commercials, industrials, and the popular Lifetime original series, Army Wives. Amber’s extensive training, valuable experience, and dedication to the craft of acting are unique assets that will enhance each and every class. She is passionate about working with young actors to nurture their talents and increase their knowledge of the craft. Children will build self-confidence and broader self-awareness through participation in this unique program.
The TBell Actors Studio method has successfully trained countless students who have gone on to fulfilling careers on stage and screen. Now, the studio will also be able to offer training to children who have an interest in acting. Each class will focus on the development of several important skills through a variety of activities and exercises.
TBell students learn proper audition techniques for television, film, and commercials. They will work to break down a scene, be guided towards making the best choices for that scene, and will then perform their work for the class. Through hands-on experience, each student will learn by doing. Along the way, students will learn a variety of foundational skills; they will also discover and build increased courage, confidence, and competence. Each week, students will be challenged to stretch their abilities and achieve new successes.
In order to ensure the best experience and quality of instruction for each student, class sizes for both the Goonies and TBirds classes are limited. Both classes are filling up very quickly, so please sign up soon to reserve a spot. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to ask any questions. Weekly classes will begin Saturday, August 25th.
