“I competed in my first Humor Contest at Area for my first club Voicelinks, just a few short months after joining Toastmasters. I did not place, but I had a lot of fun and gained a lot of confidence. I competed in Humorous at Division D in 2010. Again, I did not place, but what a growth experience. I competed in International and Tall Tales at Area D-2 and placed 2nd in both. This year was my first year competing at the District level,” says Pelletier. “I am extremely humbled and honored to represent District 33 at the semifinals of the World Championship of Public Speaking on August 16, 2012 in Orlando.” Pelletier is Personal Assistant for JoAnn Oppenheimer, an author and coach, in Las Vegas, NV in city, state. According to Pelletier, “I joined Voicelinks, my first club in 2008. I was working as a software support specialist for a large law firm in Las Vegas. My supervisor believed that I needed better communication skills. I saw the pleasant, smiling faces on the website for Voicelinks and decided they looked like a friendly group of people. Since that time I have belonged of many clubs in Las Vegas: Voicelinks; Premier Toastmasters;
