Diversity Leadership Alliance hosts “Diversity Metrics & Accountability: A Winning Combination”

A complimentary workshop open to businesses and organizations in the Phoenix metro community

Aug. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Phoenix, Ariz., August 8, 2012- "Diversity Metrics and Accountability: A Winning Combination" is the title of a workshop hosted by Diversity Leadership Alliance of Arizona and sponsored by DiversityInc., Sodexo and the Desert Willow Conference Center.
The free workshop is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, August 15, at the Desert Willow Conference Center, 4340 E. Cotton Center Blvd. in Phoenix. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

Featured speakers are:

Barbara Frankel, executive editor and senior vice president of DiversityInc., who supervises diversity-management content for DiversityInc.com, DiversityInc. Magazine, and DiversityIncBestPractices.com, a web site for senior diversity leaders. Frankel also spearheads and oversees DiversityInc.’s global-diversity research focusing on global challenges and successful best practices in workforce diversity, talent development, marketplace connections and supplier diversity. She also produces and anchors monthly web seminars on diversity best practices and arranges and co-moderates corporate roundtables on diversity-management issues.

Rolddy Leyva, vice president of market diversity for Sodexo's Corporate Services and Education market segments. In this capacity, Leyva reports directly to the market presidents of his two market segments and is a member of their respective senior leadership teams. He provides diversity counsel and leadership to the executive teams in these market segments and is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive, fully integrated diversity solutions that drive Sodexo’s workplace and marketplace diversity plans. Leyva and his team support a workforce of more than 60,000 Sodexo employees as well as the diversity and inclusion needs of his corporate service and education market clients and partners. Sodexo is a leader among organizations linking diversity management with business goals, measuring effectiveness and using data analysis to drive improvement. The company consistently uses diversity efforts as a competitive differentiator in its business growth.

Frankel and Leyva will present their work, research and experience regarding the subjects of workplace diversity and accountability. Workshop attendees will receive tools, metrics and processes they can use in their own organizations to measure performance and progress in the areas of diversity and inclusion.
