PRLog - Aug. 9, 2012 - Take it from a Canadian, poetry should flow easily and be motivated by everything around us. Says author Vincent Costello, “I’m motivated by my life and those things I experience around me. Mix in the Creator of my understanding, and you have art.”
Maple Syrup Poet
Maple Syrup Poet reflects the Canadian author’s sense of openness and truthfulness. This reflective collection of thought-provoking, yet humorous and romantic poems evokes a complex narrative about life’s many experiences. There is also a short story set in London, Ontario, Canada, about a precocious young boy named Jimmy, who doesn’t know where he fits in, even with his own family. All the characters come from dysfunctional families raised on the wrong side of the tracks. The coming-of-age tale relates what happens when Jimmy’s father dies.
When it comes to expressing yourself, as the author says, “Let go … the tap will run, when it’s time.”
