Follow on Google News | Romanian Artist, Claudiu Presecan, Featured on The Wrighter“The work itself is great, however, in my opinion, this hunting for masterpieces in auctions doesn’t reflect the best face of humans, but vanity, pretentiousness and snobbism.”
By: Selah Haki When asked about his favorite thing that he’s purchased in the last 30 days, Presecan said, “I have discovered fly fishing for a couple of years now and from my wanderings on the river banks and shores I was inspired to create my latest series of paintings, which will be exhibited this fall. The works will also incorporate some flies and I discovered through a friend a new pattern of bees which was so attractive both for me and trout. For tying this fly I needed yellow elk hair and I was very satisfied to find it in a local fly shop, so I instantly purchased it!” The Wrighter’s tribute to “The Scream” was created in May, after the record breaking auction in New York, and features two artists a week. Presecan is the nineteenth featured artist and shares images of his favorite work as well as his sketched version of “The Scream.” Kobina Wright, writer and creator of The Wrighter, is a California native who earned her BA degree in Journalism from the California State University, Fullerton.
