ScottMadden to Co-Sponsor and Co-Chair EUCI Electricity Pricing Conference

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 8, 2012 - ScottMadden, Inc., one of North America’s leading energy consulting firms, is pleased to co-sponsor and co-chair the 10th Annual Electricity Pricing: Successful Practices and Solutions for Efficient Pricing conference being held Tuesday, September 18 to Wednesday, September 19 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown New Orleans. This pricing conference, presented by EUCI, will provide current perspectives and practices in electricity pricing and the evaluation of new technologies and share the positions and concerns of regulators and utilities.

Rick Starkweather, partner at ScottMadden, will open the conference in partnership with Michael O’Sheasy, vice president at Christensen Associates Energy Consulting, and will also moderate a panel discussion focusing on the alternatives to traditional rate cases being considered by utilities today, including formula ratemaking, revenue decoupling, and the use of cost trackers.

This two-day event will review different state legislative and regulatory activities related to utility pricing, identify different cost recovery mechanisms, metrics, and processes associated with formula ratemaking and alternatives to traditional rate cases, and identify best practices in implementing successful customer promotion, education, and retention strategies.
