Bush and Beyond, specialists in East African safaris, recently announced the grand opening of a new tented safari camp in Kenya called Mara Toto Camp. Located in Kenya’s famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, this Great Plains Conservation property will open in November 2012.

Situated on a cool and secluded forested bend of the Ntiakitiak River in the Mara, the camp offers a perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and intimate accommodations. With just four luxury tents, Mara Toto Camp is a hidden gem in the otherwise confounding mix of tented camps in the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

The camp is located in the heart of the Masai Mara’s magnificent predator country and has traversing rights to both the Mara North Conservancy and the Masai Mara Game Reserve which offers guests the freedom to explore an expansive landscape in search of some of the most impressive wildlife sightings on earth.

Mara Toto Camp is designed to cater to independent travelers who desire customized itineraries as well as small groups who seek a private camp. Mara Toto’s specialist guide tent caters to those accompanied by a guide or trip leader, and two on-site camp guides and safari vehicles maintain flexibility for personalized experiences.

While sister tented camp, Mara Plains Camp is undergoing renovations from November 2012 through May 2013, Mara Toto Camp will operate in its place, however, once Mara Plains Camp re-opens both camps will operate simultaneously.  Together, these will be two of the very finest camps in East Africa.
