Lennar Signs Historic Accord Ensuring Commitment To Homebuyers

Aug. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Leading national homebuilder Lennar is among the first companies to agree to abide by a new set of guidelines aimed at improved service to new homebuyers that was recently set forth by the local associations representing builders and Realtors®.

The accord, finalized last month by representatives from the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) and the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors® (NEFAR), outlines best practices for the sale of a new home in such areas as roles and responsibilities, compensation and communication guidelines that govern the exchange of information between the Realtor® and the builder’s representatives.  

The goal of the accord is for all parties involved in the purchase of a new home to conduct business in an ethical fashion.  Transparency, open communication and respect are the core values of this agreement.

“This accord will set a standard that will undoubtedly benefit the homebuilding industry,” said Barbara Moore, Jacksonville division president for Lennar and current NEFBA president, who helped foster the landmark agreement.  “More important, the principles set forth in this document will give peace of mind to prospective Jacksonville-area homebuyers for years and years to come.”
