The British Computer Society's CISMP certification is the new baseline for those with an interest in information security, either as a potential career or as an additional part of their general business knowledge. Terry Neal, InfoSec Skills' CEO says, "CISMP is a firm foundation on which other more technical qualifications can be built, providing a thorough general understanding to enable business users of IT to ensure their information is protected appropriately."
With an ever-changing climate of technology and threats (both technical and human), the need for trained security personnel to protect our information becomes increasingly critical. "This certification proves that the holder has a good knowledge and understanding of the wide range of subject areas that make up information security management, including risk management, technical and administrative controls, legal frameworks, people and physical security, security standards (e.g. ISO 27001) and business continuity,"
The new BCS CESG Certified Professional Scheme, provides a means of independent assessment and verification for those working in Information Assurance (IA) and is now a key part of CLAS - CESG Listed Advisor Scheme - membership. By becoming certified with BCS you will fulfill one of the main requirements of CLAS membership and the CISMP Certificate is the perfect place to start.
The course is available immediately online and scheduled to run as a public live event in London on the 10-14 December, 2012.
