Stan Tracey will perform a jazz version of ‘A Child’s Christmas in Wales’ at the Festival’s opening at the Dylan Thomas Centre and will be accompanied by his current quartet, which now includes Stan’s 21 year old grandson, Ben Tracey, as narrator.
Inspired by Dylan Thomas’ short story A Child’s Christmas in Wales, Stan has put pen to paper for the first time in over 10 years to compose this new suite.
Stan Tracey said “I've always had a particular fondness for Dylan Thomas' short story ‘A Child's Christmas in Wales’ because it evokes so many memories of when I was a child.
“I hope the music reflects some of the pleasure it gave me.'
