Studying the Hindi script requires both to learn the Hindi letter including the their combinations and their sounds. In order to be able to make use of your Hindi, it is important to differentiate each letter, each syllable.
This application provides three different modes for learning the Hindi script: Writing Practice, Listening Practice and Exercise. Writing and Listening Practice helps you to study the actual letters and syllables and their sounds, while Exercise dictates a Hindi word that the user has to spell. Especially the mode Exercise is a great help to learn the Hindi Script because sounds in a word might be harder to distinguish than listening to the sound of the letter or syllable only. The vocabulary used in the dictation exercise (mode Exercise) may be looked up later or put to favorites, so that especially useful or difficult words can be studied separately. The vocabulary list which is categorized and put into levels was carefully selected and comprises more than 500 words.
