Creators of Tiki Toss 3D turn traditional advertising model upside down

Aug. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Mellow Militia, a Santa Barbara-based app development company, is leading a major shift in mobile app advertising through the cross marketing of its popular mobile app game, Tiki Toss 3D, with its new physical version of the island-themed ring toss game.

Already a favorite among casual gamers, the Tiki Toss 3D app allows iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad users to play and compete against other players in a digital version of the traditional, hook-and-ring game. Following the success of Tiki Toss 3D, Mellow Militia decided to create a hard board version of the game, which has since been picked up and sold by nearly 200 retailers in less than a year.

“The hard good version of Tiki Toss is truly unique in that it was born from the digital version of the game,” said Mellow Militia Co-Founder Kyle McGetrick. “Usually it’s the other way around. However, we believe the success we’ve experienced with Tiki Toss 3D affords us the rare opportunity to do exceptional cross marketing through the addition of our new physical game, and we can finally move into mainstream advertising and sponsorships, along with our digital advertising,” he added.

Accordingly, Mellow Militia seeks to partner with brands that could benefit from the opportunity to cross-market between both the digital and physical versions of its Tiki Toss game. Partnering companies would be able to leverage Tiki Toss 3D as a user engagement tool, rather than utilizing the product as another method for simply showcasing their brands.
