Aug. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- M&P Speed Apparel™ is excited to announce they will unveil the first M&P Speed Apparel™ project car to be featured at the world renowned SEMA Show in Las Vegas later this year. Collaborating with leaders in the automotive aftermarket the project is headed by M&P™ design director Michael Satterfield the project will be based on a classic Austin Mini Cooper, one of the most iconic cars in the world. The Mini will feature a blend of classic Mini styling cues, combined with modern fashion trends and modern technology provided by Sponsor Valor Multimedia.
“We will be releasing a rendering of the car shortly, the thought was to keep the car clearly identifiable as a Mini Cooper, by just making minor changes to the car and focusing on the materials we used to make it unique. The car will feature bold bodywork thanks to modern car wrap technology and will feature one of the most advanced in-dash navigation and multimedia systems on the market. We are taking an old car and applying modern restyling and technology to create a stylish and unique city car,” said Michael.
Details and more information on the car will be made available shortly; automotive wrap specialty shop Daley Visual will be providing the wrap, featuring a unique M&P™ pattern, as well as some other innovative touches that Daley Visual has become known for. Classic Mini Cooper specialty shop MiniMania.com will be providing parts and technical support for the project, while the custom interior design is being executed by TMI upholstery.
M&P Speed Apparel™ will begin shooting a documentary “M&P the road to SEMA” that will be available on M&P’s YouTube channel.
