PRLog - Aug. 6, 2012 - SANTA ANA, Calif. -- On August 4, 2012 DishClips, a California startup launched their first Dine with DishClips event at Asha Moroccan Mediterranean Kitchen. The turnout was so overwhelming that it caused a scene outside the restaurant Saturday night. The food was incredible if you were lucky enough to get a seat. Diners lined up outside the restaurant waiting to get a taste of Asha’s famed lamb and chicken dishes. The restaurant was at capacity the entire evening with wait times exceeding an hour even with reservations. One diner, Sunny Min said, “The food is amazing, I never would have heard of Asha if it wasn’t for Dishclips. But the wait took forever.” Diners weren't the only ones in shock over the turn out. Allie, the hostess commented: “This is crazy; in the 5 months of being around, Asha has never drawn in such a crowd.” “The Dine with DishClips event is an ongoing concept we want to continue to do with restaurants in major cities. It’s a way of getting diners out to discover new foods and share them with other foodies which really fits the DishClips mission” said Jeremy Guzik, one of the DishClips representatives at the Saturday night event. “In the future, we’ll have to be sure the restaurant is better prepared for the crowds.” DishClips will release their iPhone application later this month that’s meant to revolutionize the way diners discover, experience, and share restaurant dishes by enabling them to upload their food experience using HD quality video. Another thing that sets the DishClips app apart from other food guides is that it concentrates mainly on the dish. Chances are at any restaurant there is at least one dish that you’d enjoy and this app intends to help you find it.
