This year, renowned equestrians from across the country will compete for over $250,000 in prize money over the course of ten days. Local stars like Dr. Jeffrey Papows, award-winning author of Unbridled Passion, and Charlie Jacobs, principle of the Boston Bruins, will be among those competing at the August event.
As a supporting partner of the Wounded Warrior Project and Children's Wish Foundation International, Fieldstone will also host several fundraising events at the Summer Showcase. These events include a Grand Prix Calcutta, where spectators can wager to secure exclusive bets on their favorite horses, a silent charity auction, featuring a Bruins game jersey signed by the 2012 Boston Bruins team, and a puppy-kissing booth to benefit the local Blue Dog Shelter of Brockton, MA.
"We strive to create an event that not only benefits a number of local and national non-profit organizations, but also presents an opportunity for the local community to become involved," said President and CEO of Fieldstone Show Park, Scott Clawson.
Jacobs added, "The Boston Bruins Foundation is happy to play a role in Fieldstone's charitable initiative by donating a number of items to the silent auction and contributing to the overall fundraising efforts at the Summer Showcase this year."
Grand Prix level show jumping represents the highest tier of equestrian competition and demands the most skilled equine and human athletes. Fieldstone Show Park proudly offers two Grand Prix level events during the Summer Showcase, including a $35,000 competition on August 18th and a $25,000 competition on August 25th.
There will be no lack of excitement for friends and family at the Show Park in August as the Summer Showcase will also feature live performances of the national anthem, a demonstration by the Official Color Guard of Vermont and a Canine Puissance, or high jump competition, open to all attendees.
Located just 28 miles South of Boston near America's Hometown of Plymouth, the Show Park hosts several unique outdoor equestrian events each year where spectators have the opportunity to witness the only sport where men and women compete for the same prize up to Olympic level.
Tickets are available for purchase at the entrance of the Show Park or by request at firstname.lastname@example.org. To learn more about the event or to browse the official competition prize list please visit www.showfieldstone.com.
