After a short break from banding to deal with family commitments including marriage and the birth of his first Child, Kris Reeder has opted to sign for local first section outfit Brackley and District Band.
Kris Reeder studied as a Junior Scholar at the Royal College of Music and then as a Scholar at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Kris has played for a number of leading Bands and Orchestras in the UK and has worked with distinguished conductors including Sir Colin Davis. Kris Reeder won the Banbury Young Musician of the Year title in 2004 and was the first Trombonist to attain a Diploma from the ABRSM.
Kris commented 'I would like to see the band progress and I am impressed by Adrian Raven, he is a conductor with real quality and with the right players this band can move forward very quickly'.
Kris' last appearance on the contest stage was in 2010 when his trombone quartet finished 3rd at the Oxfordshire brass band festival in Oxford.
Kris Reeder currently works as a Peripatetic music teacher in schools across Oxfordshire and Northants. He also undertakes some work as a private music tutor in the Oxford area.
Kris is supported by Oxford Royale Academy who run Summer Schools in Oxford and Cambridge.
