In partnership with Eden Autism Services, WebTeam Corporation has launched a new autism assessment app billed as iAssessNTeach, targeted for infants and toddlers with autism spectrum disorder. The new app is available worldwide on iTunes.
Developed on the innovation and success of its predecessor iLearnNEarn, iAssessNTeach will provide valuable assessment and teaching tips to educators and parents. The primary focus of the new app is to help identify the critical skill areas that should be concentrated upon during therapy.
“Modeled after Eden's evaluation techniques for infants and toddlers aged 0-3 years, the latest installment of apps will help parents and teachers figure out what a child needs to learn so they can get started with early intervention options and create individualized goals for their child,” stated Nish Parikh, CEO of WebTeam Corporation. In addition to the infant and toddler app, a brand new school series of apps are also available as a supplemental aid to special needs teachers, according to Parikh.
“This App is easy to use and provides practical results,” said Nina Finkler, Director of Eden Autism Services Outreach. “Being able to provide educators and parents a useful tool to help them identify teaching goals is very rewarding. Especially with infants and toddlers, the earlier we can begin treatment, the greater chance of success we have,” Ms Finkler observed.
Tim Sharp, program coordinator at WebTeam Corporation, said iAssessNTeach is available globally and has the potential to make a difference to the autism community at large. Sharp expressed concerns that “while autism is currently a significant health issue in the US, the broader picture across different demographics is not too bright either.” Parikh, too, made similar observations, stating “a major part of the non-American autism community are not fortunate enough to receive advanced intervention services, which makes their continuous battle against the disorder even harder and more uncertain.”
Since 1975, Eden Autism Services has been a familiar name within the US autism community for its expertise in delivering proven intervention services for all age groups. Eden's IEP-driven curricula, together with residential and employment programs, offer a rich source of education and training materials to students, teachers, families and professionals connected to the autism society.
Offering highly effective early intervention programs for individuals on the autism spectrum since 2006, WebTeam Corporation is a relatively recent player in the field. Despite being a new entrant, the New Jersey-based company has already established a firm foothold in the special needs education domain – thanks to Shanesh COLORS Program, which was created by Parikh. The Shanesh COLORS Program adds a fun element to the traditional methods of autism intervention by allowing children with special needs to enhance their primary and secondary cognitive skills in a playful, digitized environment.
