Koning Eizenberg are awarded 2012 AIA Los Angeles Gold Medal

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 3, 2012 - From AIA|LA Website: Educators, civic leaders, media personalities, writers and of course, architects are some of the driving forces that push the architectural profession forward. AIA Los Angeles (AIA|LA) recognizes the community efforts needed to help architects of all genres succeed in the public eye.

The Presidential Awards recognize select individuals that take leadership roles in their profession. AIA|LA President, Stuart Magruder, AIA, stated, "as with last year's Presidential Awards process - the first with full Board input - we as a Board did a thorough evaluation and discussion, in consultation with several prominent practitioners, academics, and journalists, have awarded the 2012 Presidential Awards."

Magruder reiterated the quality of the group by stating that,"The difficulty in selecting one winner in each category is amazing; we truly have an embarrassment of architectural riches here in Los Angeles!"

As part of the AIA|LA Design Awards, Los Angeles' most celebrated architectural awards of the season, the Presidential Honorees will be celebrated, along with all Design Award and NextLA winners on October 22, 2012 at the beautiful Broad Stage in the Santa Monica Performing Arts Center.
