Stetson and western-wear go hand-in-hand, so it only made sense for them to start creating cowboy boots that are just as beautiful as all of their felt, straw, and cowboy hats. The company came about when Stephen Stetson started a small business called the No Name Hat Company in New Jersey. All the hats were created by his own hands, and this quickly built a reputation for having the best around town. Then, he had a son who he named John Batterson Stetson, and this is when the legacy began.
When John Stetson grew older, he designed the "Boss of the Plains" hat, which is the first hat they truly became famous for. He quickly turned his father's business into one of the biggest hat producers in the world. Even some of the biggest historical figures wore Stetson hats, like Annie Oakley, Colonel William F. Cody "Buffalo Bill", and even some U.S. presidents.
Now, Stetson is creating the same reputation they have for hats, in all of their new cowboy boots because they know when you mention Stetson it has to be the best. The fall line features elegant and classy designs, yet still functional to where they can be worn on a day-to-day basis. Stetson is dedicated to setting their standards higher than anyone else, and that is why they use a wide variety of leathers in their new Fall line of cowboy boots like stingray, ostrich, and even caiman.
