BizLibrary Makes the Business Case for LMS Use in Small and Mid-Sized Organizations

In a video interview, recorded at the International ASTD Conference and Expo, BizLibrary executive team offers basis of business case for smaller organizations to use learning management system to automate employee training processes.

Aug. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- BizLibrary, the leading provider of online and on-demand training solutions for small and mid-size businesses nationwide, posted a recently published video interview with Dean Pichee, President and CEO, and Chris Osborn, Vice President of Marketing. The interview was recorded by Convey Content at the ASTD 2012 International Conference and Expo in Denver, Colorado in May of 2012.

“Over the last 25 years, I think a lot of things have changed in the training industry. Training used to be really company sponsored. Meaning it was top down. Now we’re seeing a lot more companies open up learning opportunities to their employees where the learning is learner driven as opposed to company sponsored,” observed Pichee.

In the interview, Pichee and Osborn provide the core business case for smaller organizations to make use of learning management systems by drawing comparisons between the training needs of organizations and the lack of internal resources usually available to smaller organizations. Further, many organizations overlook the value of automation of training processes in smaller organizations. Pichee pointed out that the lack of internal resources makes automating the processes around employee training a great basis for using a learning management system in smaller organizations.
