HB Communications Announces the Hiring of Peter Charland for HB’s Managed Services Initiatives

Aug. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- North Haven, CT August 1, 2012 – HB Communications, Inc. announces that Peter Charland has been hired as vice president, managed services. Charland will add to the company’s management team with a focus on further developing HB’s service offerings.

Prior to joining HB, Charland was employed by Stratus Technologies. He has over 20 years of experience providing managed and cloud services in the communications and collaboration sectors.

His diverse experience includes work with early stage entrepreneurial firms, and large, global enterprises. He began his career at AT&T, where he held executive positions in sales, marketing product management and operations.

He has held senior marketing and executive positions with EMC and iPeria. As a vice president at FaxNet, he led sales and marketing efforts, which earned the company recognition in Upside Magazine’s “100 Hot Companies.” This led to a successful acquisition by CriticalPath, where he remained as vice president, channel marketing and sales.

Charland holds an MBA with Deans Honors from Columbia University, a BA from Stonehill College and has completed the program in strategic marketing management at Harvard Business School.

In his role at HB, Charland will be responsible for sales and marketing for HB’s extensive service portfolio, including the rapidly growing managed services offerings.
