PRLog - Aug. 3, 2012 - NEW YORK -- On August 29 at 7 p.m., Tea By Tiffany will host a tea party honoring legendary entertainment journalist and publicist Flo Anthony. The event will take place at a private location in Sag Harbor.
Flo Anthony is being honored for her long standing legacy in the field of celebrity journalism and representation. She is the first African American female to work in the sports department and the first African American within the entertainment department and Page Six of the New York Post. Flo Anthony is one of the few African American women who have withstood the changing paradigm of celebrity journalism for over 20 years.
The “tea,” will also be held in celebration of the late Michael Jackson’s 54th birthday- a good friend of Flo Anthony’s. Ms. Anthony has been a long time friend, confidant and Jackson family correspondent.
The event will bring together the best of Flo Anthony’s friends, supporters and those that love MJ.
The evening will be presented with a traditional five course tea, tea cocktails and a champagne toast. The event will conclude with a DJ celebratory mix of Michael Jackson hits, with today and yesteryear’s classics presented by New York award winning DJ- Mr. Phantastik.
The event not only gathers tea lovers and evokes great conversation;
“I find that the guest of honor is thrilled to be honored for the work and tireless dedication they’ve exhibited in a specific field. The experience had by the attendee is one of true support and admiration for someone who has truly made a powerful impact on our culture. These two aspects alone make this event very unique and very special,” says hostess Tiffanydenise.
In keeping with the giving the spirit of Michael Jackson, Tiffany's Tea Party will donate a portion of the private ticket sales to a local Sag Harbor resident currently battling cancer through Giveforward.com.
Vocalist Walter Christopher will provide soulful sounds of original music and Michael Jackson covers.
For this special event Tea By Tiffany has teamed up with local South Hampton event planning company, Intimate Wishes.
