Aug. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Through its extensive expertise in the field of Public Relations, BPRS-NY will provide PR outreach services on behalf of MBCUSASPTM, publicize information about the pageant through social media and other networks, and act as a recruiter to obtain participants for MBCUSASPTM and its Internship Program. In return, MBCUSASPTM will refer participants interested in the fields of communications and public relations to BPRS-NY so that they may take advantage of the bountiful learning and networking opportunities they have available through membership in their organization.  This joint partnership will enable both organizations to grow and host mutually beneficial events that promote and compliment both BPRS-NY & MBCUSA programs through their focus on branding and building self-esteem.

"I am looking forward to partnering with the Black Public Relations Society of New York (BPRS-NY). Both entities are about promoting positive images and our young people need to see more collaborations that will assist them with the achievement of their goals and aspirations. This will not be a one time event, rather a lifelong professional relationship". Says Darlene Aiken, Founder and Director of MBCUSASPTM

Kisha Barton, President of Black Public Relations Society NY said, "BPRS-NY is delighted to have the opportunity to partner with the Miss Black Collegiate USA Scholarship Pageant.  We are working together to continue to promote positive self-esteem, health and images for women of color."

This October will be a historic month. In October, the 1st Annual Miss Black Collegiate USA Scholarship Pageant TM will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2012. The pageant will showcase a range of young women, representing colleges across the country, who will use their intellect and talents for scholarships and prizes toward their education. The pageant promotes self-esteem among women of color and the importance of inner beauty. This trailblazing pageant will not have a swimsuit competition. MBCUSASPTM slogan is: Exposing Minds, Not Bodies! TM
