San Juan Diego Academy is a school located in Kent County, the Grand Rapids area. They have developed an English-based, Christ-centered curriculum that has been proven to improve test scores and decrease the drop-out rate among Latino children in the area. The school subscribes to a "whole family" approach, which also allows for adult education. Unfortunately, in recent years, the building has started to crumble and could potentially be unsafe. For this reason, the school faces the possibility of having to close.
Our manager here in the Farmington Hills location, Sam, is from the Grand Rapids area and so has become a champion to this cause. "I was sad to hear that the school might have to close," said Sam Striker, Manager at K Marketing. "When I learned how easy it was to vote for the school, I figured that our marketing firm could help out by educating others and encouraging them to vote for the school as well. It's an easy community service thing that people can do even in this down economy."
Helping to save this school is as easy as taking a few minutes to vote for them in a contest that Erhardt Construction is sponsoring. San Juan Diego Academy has made it into the final round of the "Building Our Community Contest" and just needs to earn the most votes.
