PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 2, 2012 - A new business located in Casper, Wyoming picks up where genealogists leave off and provides a softcover or hardcover book detailing your ancestor’s military service.  Wickman Historical Consultants uses military records and historical research from the Revolutionary War through the Spanish-American War.  Each book weaves the specific soldier’s service record into the broader context of the war in order to provide a complete picture of the soldier’s wartime experiences.  This provides a priceless memento for generations to come.

Johanna Wickman, President of Wickman Historical Consultants said, “It is one thing to know that your great-great-great grandfather was a Civil War veteran, but their story comes to life when you know the exact battles they participated in and what their service meant to the outcome of Civil War.”

Included within the book are scans of the soldier’s actual military documents, which are useful when applying for membership in such organizations as the Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons of Union Veterans, and many more.  According to Wickman, “We are the only company in the United States to offer a personalized book of your ancestor’s military service.”
