Additionally, Account Executive Philip Swibinski is joining Makarski in re-forming the Hudson County Young Democrats – the local chapter of the same organization which had been defunct for several years. YDA’s mission is to mobilize young people to participate in the electoral process and develop the skills necessary for a new generation to serve as leaders at all levels of politics and government. Makarski and Swibinski will both serve on the Executive Board of the newly formed chapter along with several other local young progressive leaders.
“I am excited to be on the front lines of change,” said Makarski. “Empowering and re-energizing the youth in our state is going to be our main focus moving forward, and I am ready for the challenge.”
Makarski and Swibinski have been the architects of successful, dynamic media campaigns for public- and private-sector clients and spearhead Vision Media Marketing’s digital and new media strategy team. They have attended several YDA functions including the Biannual National Convention in 2011 and the Summer National Conference in July.
“Michael and I are both ready to work hard to mobilize young voters in Hudson County and help re-elect President Barack Obama and Senator Bob Menendez,” said Swibinski.
