Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation Appoints Snell & Wilmer Attorney Holly Shilliday To Board

Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Holly Shilliday, counsel in its Denver office, has been appointed to serve a three-year term on the board of directors of the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation.

Aug. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- An affiliate organization of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation provides content, context and access to inspire leaders to engage in issues critical to the region’s success. The Leadership Foundation encourages community and civic trusteeship through a continuum of leadership programs including Leadership Denver, Access Denver, the Leadership Exchange, Impact Denver, Colorado Experience, Legacy Denver, the Leadership Alumni Network, Colorado in Context and the Colorado Leadership Alliance.

In her legal practice, Shilliday represents clients in all aspects of commercial litigation, bankruptcy and work-outs including plan confirmations, non-dischargeability actions, claim objections, preferences, receiverships, fraudulent conveyances, foreclosures, mechanic’s liens, UCC sales, replevins, enforcement of judgments, forbearance documents, deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure, trials, alternative dispute resolution and appeals. In addition, she represents and advises lenders and franchisors in franchise-related bankruptcy cases, leads due diligence projects in connection with the acquisition of loan portfolios and defends claims arising from the Truth-in-Lending Act, Fair Debt Collection practices and Fair Credit Reporting Act requirements.

Shilliday is admitted to practice law in both Colorado and California and is an active member of the California Bar Association where she served a three-year term on the Committee for the Administration of Justice. She is also a member of the Colorado and Eighteenth Judicial District Bar Associations, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the International Franchise Association. Shilliday also serves on the executive board of the Colorado Ethics in Business Alliance and volunteers for Junior Achievement, Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum and Centro San Juan de Diego. She was recently elected to the governing board of Littleton Academy, a charter school in Littleton, Colorado.

Shilliday graduated from the University of Denver, where she majored in political science and minored in economics and Spanish. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law.
