Northern Virginia’s Parenting All-Stars Come Together to Support MISSION: SLEEP

Aug. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- August 1, 2012 Haymarket, VA:   MISSION: SLEEP, the non-profit arm of Let Mommy Sleep, LLC  is currently hosting a Silent Auction, leading up to the First Annual Mission: Sleep Mini-Golf Tournament on Tuesday, August 21st from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Dulles Golf Center in Dulles, VA.  The tournament will feature food, prizes, swag bags, and wine tastings from Lost Creek Winery.  

Northern Virginia’s biggest names in parenting resources are joining forces to make the fundraiser a huge success.  Premier tot entertainers, The Great Zucchini and Mr. Skip  have each donated children’s parties to the auction, Baby Blossom Shop  has a Maclaren Stroller up for grabs, FAMILY Magazine is giving away four orchestra seats to The King and I at Wolf Trap and the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner  is donating a 1 night weekend stay for the player with the best score!  

Players include area bloggers such as SuperNovaMommy  and DC Metro Mom  and more of NoVA’s parenting all-stars are signing on every day to network and play mini-golf.
All funds raised benefit MISSION: SLEEP, which provides five (5) nights of in-home, overnight care and education for families of servicemen or women who are wounded or deployed at the time of baby’s birth. The MISSION has also currently expanded to assist parents of newborns whose spouses have unexpectedly passed away.  Families receive relief and education from an RN or LPN. Presently, the MISSION is placed with a first time mother and her newborn son.  Dad unexpectedly passed away when baby was just 14 days old.

MISSION: SLEEP is currently accepting sponsorships across a variety of levels. Right now, the opportunity exists to help our nation’s military families during a time of great happiness, and great need. Bringing home baby is tough enough – when dad is away, it’s even harder.

Denise Stern, Agency Director of DC’s only Baby Nurse agency;i Let Mommy Sleep  LLC, has spent the past year helping DC area parents cultivate a strong sleep team to assist families adjust to life with a baby or child that sleep eludes.

Let Mommy Sleep pairs newborn aficionados from the postpartum medical field with families desperate for shuteye and education. As a mother with three children age four and under – Stern understands the value of rest! Her own search for overnight help with twins illustrated the need for night nursing services in the DC area. The entire LMS team is dedicated providing parents with peace of mind, babies with a restful slumbering environment and families with the sleep they need to carry on!
